Spending a weekend together camping is a great way to really get to know your church community. On the October long weekend we’re going to be camping at Wirra Campground at Para Wirra Conservation Park. Camping will be anytime from 12noon Friday 29 Sept through to 11am Monday 2 Oct of the long weekend. There are caravan spots (limited!) and tent spots.
We’ll have church Saturday 5 pm followed by dinner all together (Please Note: There will be no church service on Sunday 10 am at Modbury Primary School).
The rest of the time everyone will do their own cooking (there is a camp kitchen space up there and we will also provide some equipment in the communal area).
On the Saturday and Sunday there will be a combination of free time and some organised things especially for the kids.
If camping isn’t your thing we’d love to have day visitors too.
We can have up to 168 people up there, so it would be great to have as many people as possible for the whole time or part of the time. Spaces are limited though (especially for caravans/camper trailers) so don’t hold back.
